Comparison of working principles

The gas roots flow meter is a volumetric flow meter, which measures the gas flow rate according to the rotation of roots, the inflation and exhaust of the metering chamber cycle. The gas turbine flow meter is a velocity flow meter, which measures the gas flow rate according to the rotating speed of the impeller.

1.Function

There is little difference between gas roots flow meter and gas turbine flow meter in function, specifically:

1, Display instantaneous flow, cumulative flow, temperature, pressure, etc.;

2, Can choose pulse output or 4-20mA circuit output;

3, Can choose battery power supply or 24VDC power supply;

4, Support RS485 communication, GPRS communication, HART protocol;

5, Can be used with IC card control valve, can be connected with PLC system.

2.Measuring range

The range ratio of gas roots flow meter can be up to 1:200 wide range, small initial momentum, suitable for small flow, flow changes, such as hotels, large restaurants and other occasions.

The range ratio of gas turbine flow meter is generally 1:10-1:30, which is suitable for gas measurement with medium and high flow rates.

3.The installation

Gas Roots flow meter has small volume and low requirements for straight pipe section, so it is suitable for installation in narrow places. Vertical installation of gas roots flow meters is generally recommended.

The gas turbine flow meter shall be installed with at least 2D and 1D straight pipe segments. Horizontal installation of gas turbine flow meters is generally recommended.
